New solution forecasts the impact incentive programs have on profitability
MIAMI, April 5, 2017 — To help organizations win more deals and maximize margins, Vendavo, a leading provider of intelligent pricing and margin optimization solutions, has partnered with Entomo, Inc., a leader in channel revenue management solutions, to manage the entire incentive lifecycle from set up and negotiation through accruals to payments.
Vendavo™ Incentive Manager helps organizations boost sales and grow profitability by managing and forecasting the total cost of multiple types of channel incentive programs including volume rebates, growth rebates, ship and debit adjustments, price protection programs, and Market Development Funds.
Bruno Slosse, president and CEO of Vendavo announced the partnership today at Vendavo’s annual conference, Profit Summit. “Most incentive management and financial analysis tools can look only at the general costs of an incentive program. With the integration of our solutions into Vendavo Incentive Manager, sales teams can now forecast incentive program cost with a high degree of accuracy, while they are negotiating the deal. It’s definitely a win for all involved.”
The new partnership also supports integration with Entomo’s SmartHub® to provide cleansed and enriched point of sale, inventory and claims data to Vendavo Profit Analyzer™. Profit Analyzer delivers in-memory analytics for uncovering additional profit opportunities to enrich margin analysis and price waterfalls. For integration with deal guidance and benchmarking tools, Vendavo Deal Manager™ equips sales reps with the ability to create new incentive programs or view existing programs and apply them directly to deals in their pipeline.
“Sales is often unaware of the negative margin impact their incentive programs may have on deals while finance struggles to track and accrue earnings and often gets surprised by large claims at the end of a quarter,” said Sanjoy Chatterji, Founder and CEO of Entomo. “The integration of Entomo and Vendavo provides better visibility and control over the programs and payouts allowing organizations of all industries to prevent margin erosion through unmet volume commitments and overpayments.”
Reconciling incentive payments is also a massive, manual undertaking for most finance departments and inaccurate accrual is frequent and costly. “Not only does this solution save time and effort in tracking rebate programs, it automates claim validation and reduces incorrect payouts,” Slosse said.
