Synopsis: CFOs are expected to manage an enterprise’s insights, provide governance, and add value to the business. Is this the structural framework for the finance function moving forward? The digital revolution has changed the way we view success, assess peak performance, and collaborate.
Key Quote: Sharper analytical capability and forecasts in near real-time will become prerequisites, taking into account relationships between a broader array of variables across the business.
Synopsis: A new report sees the U.S. as the manufacturing leader of the future. The findings, based on a survey of over 500 manufacturing executives, place the U.S. as the leader in manufacturing competitiveness by 2020. The reason for the growth stems from technological advancement and digital innovation in predictive analytics and IoT, to name a few.
Key Quote: Success depends on having an environment that fosters innovation, supplies a ready source of talent, and provides “ecosystem partnerships” such as manufacturing and technology clusters, where a group of similar and related businesses and organizations are located in a defined geographic area.
